Experience:Over 8 years of teaching experience across age range 5-11, with significant leadership experience and post-graduate qualifications in educational leadership and special educational needs. This means I am able to cater to a wide variety of learning styles and abilities, with a particular interest in developing reading and language. I have had academic journal articles published within this field. An in-depth knowledge of phonics development means I am well-placed to support students, alongside experience in Maths mastery teaching.
Approach:I am committed to children having access to the best education and fulfilling their potential, therefore I keep up-to-date with current educational research and pedagogy to support this. Using a combination of questioning, problem-solving, guided support, and independent work means that I am able to help children progress over time. Delivery of PowerPoints helps to reinforce any learning taking place.
