Experience:With over 3 years of experience in tutoring, I am passionate about helping students understand complex topics in an engaging and meaningful way. My expertise spans across math and computer science/engineering, where I have had the pleasure of guiding students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
I hold a Master's degree in Data Science from HBKU, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science/ Engineering from HBKU.
My style of teaching focuses on showing students the concept, and not solving their work from the jump. I also like to apply real-life applications to the work that is being done. I focus on understanding the learning pace and style of each student to deliver lessons that are effective and personalized.
Approach:I take a personalized approach to lesson planning, starting by understanding each student’s goals and current level of knowledge. My lessons are structured to break down complex topics into manageable segments, combining theory with hands-on practice to ensure a balanced and engaging learning experience. Each session builds on the previous one, with regular assessments to track progress and adjust future lessons accordingly.
In my tutoring sessions, I employ a variety of techniques to make learning interactive and effective. I use the Socratic method to foster critical thinking, active learning through problem-solving, and visual aids to simplify complex ideas. My approach is adaptable, allowing me to tailor each lesson to the student’s learning style, whether through step-by-step explanations, coding challenges, or project-based learning. I also provide constructive feedback after each session to encourage reflection and growth.
