Experience:Hello! My name is Avni, and I am currently a third-year Bachelor of Science student majoring in Psychology with a Minor in Biology at the University of British Columbia. My academic journey, combined with diverse teaching and tutoring experiences, has equipped me with the skills and passion necessary to help students succeed academically.
As a Writing and Language Consultant at the Student Learning Hub, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of undergraduate students. In this role, I conduct one-on-one consultations to support students' academic writing skills. This experience has honed my ability to identify individual learning needs and adapt my teaching methods accordingly.
Approach:When planning my lessons, I start by understanding the student's current level of knowledge and identify the areas they need support in. I then ask the student about how they would want the session to proceed, and plan a structure that fits their goals. Essentially, I want to create an open and interactive environment that allows students to engage with curiosity and foster their learning.
