Previously an Engineering Teaching Assistant at University of Colorado Denver

Experience:

I was a Teaching Assistant for three different courses during my time at University. Those courses were: Technology and Culture, Hydrosystems Engineering, Stormwater System Design. I have teaching experience in that regard. My tutoring experience is "untraditional" because I held regular office hours and they were on a "as-needed" basis. Students would contact me if they faced any difficulties and I would make arrangement to meet with them individually and go over areas of weakness.

Approach:

I am pretty flexible in terms of a lesson plan. I would like to meet with the student first and ask if they prefer that I plan all of our lessons or if they prefer that they bring in their own questions and content. However, I do ask that I am told what the content is at least 24 hrs in advance so that I better prepare.
