Approach:

For beginners I use Alfred’s piano books, it includes practice and theory. I give assignments after every lesson and stars based on the resaults. In addition I give rhythm exercises, scales and arpeggios, musical dictations, chord progressions, solfeggio singing and conducting, theory exercises, intervals and chords hearing, sight reading, aural testing, duet playing and other activities. For advanced (including all above) I use pieces from ABRSM or Trinity, advanced chord progressions, technical studies, work on artistic expression of the piece, picking song by ear, play and sing (at the same time) pop/jazz/rock songs.
