Experience:

As a modern teacher I am able to adapt into any classroom exhibit or lesson plan. I do inspire and have the ability to empower my students to become critical thinkers, innovative, creative, adaptable, passionate and flexible, to solve problems, self-direct, self-reflect and lead. After 19+ years of teaching experience, started teaching as a teenager. Being an innovative teacher I try to make real world connections and cultivate a creative minset.

Approach:

With 19+ years of teaching experience, I try to provoke intended learning, and now that gamification in learning is the new norm and hybrid learning is in the phase, project-based learning is top priority. Soft skills such as communication and problem solving are key to students success. I let my students try out ideas and learn from trial and error. Providing opportunities for social skill development and interpersonal communication is always a challenge in my lessons. Az Gen-Z, current and prospective students communicate with postsecondary institutions through multiple touchpoints. With AI technologies revolutionizing the education sector many diverse possibilities exist for how it fits into the educational landscape and I always keep myself and my classes updated for such interdisciplinary approaches. Using the right communication tools I always try to maintain “growth mindset”.
