Experience:As a Highly qualified teacher from the U.K. I bring a wealth of experience and rigour to tutoring. I am seeking students who are willing to be pushed to achieve their potential, whilst being open about their concerns, worries and ambitions in order to create a productive dialogue. I have been teaching for 4 years; students achieve beyond target grades due to my persistence with ensuring essential knowledge is remembered well and skills are practiced through my demanding yet accessible resources
Approach:My lessons begin with retrieval practice of key knowledge to ensure students recall and remember key facts, whilst also allowing me time to diagnose misconceptions and reteach if needed. I then ensure there is reading and writing practice in my lessons, usually revolving around a key skill to apply the knowledge that replicates an exam question. This way students get plenty of practice to master their skills and knowledge.
