Experience:

I graduated Liverpool John Moores University two years ago with a degree in Primary Education with qualified teacher status. I have taught children from the ages of 3-11 and have a wide range of experience in both KS1 and KS2. Last year I taught in year 6 and had a 94 % pass rate with my pupils who completed their SATs. This year I am teaching in reception, allowing me to teach EAL children phonics. I am a very hard-working individual who puts 100% effort and time into each one of my pupils.

Approach:

With my experience, I believe it is very important for me to get to know the child and to understand what teaching strategy works best for them. Before I plan my lessons, I assess the child to identify their strengths and weaknesses, and from there I plan out their learning journey. My sessions usually consist of a starter activity, the main focus task, and then a plenary activity-this enables maximum learning for the individual.
