Experience:Hello! My name is Steph, and I am a native English speaker from sunny California. I am a TESOL/TEFL certified with seven years of experience teaching English and working with non-native English speakers. An avid language learner myself, I understand just how challenging it is to learn a foreign language. I graduated from Georgetown University with a bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and, then, from Hamad bin Khalifa University with a master’s in Translation Studies. I lived, studied, and worked in the Middle East (Qatar) for eight years where I fell in love with the language, the culture, and the people. There, I gained experience teaching in language centers to large groups of students and one-on-one as a private tutor. During my teaching career, I have taught business and conversational English, SAT, IELTS, TOEFL classes. As a tutor, I have worked with students studying at Qatar Academy (Al Wakra and Doha), Sherborne School, the American School in Doha, Qatar University, TAMU-Q, and VCU-Q.
