'determined To See Students Succeed!'

Qualification:

Sports Conditioner and TEFL teacher

Experience:

I use a lot of a demonstrator style where I retains the formal authority role by showing students what they need to know. This style is well suited for physical education and mathematics lessons. I also use a facilitator approach whereby I promote self-learning and help students develop critical thinking skills and retain knowledge that leads to self-actualization. This style trains students to ask questions and helps develop skills to find answers and solutions through exploration.

Approach:

Know my students. Understand who I am going to tutor. Anticipate various learning styles (visual, auditory, tactile or a combination). Tailor my lesson plan to incorporate all learning styles through independent and group exercises.Set learning objectives. A learning objective is a statement that provides a detailed description of what students will be able to do upon completing a course. The statement should be simple and to the point. It is my role to help students understand how to use the information they will learn during the lesson in a practical way.Write the objective for the lesson. Outline the main topics or ideas I wish to cover during the lesson. The overview will function as the foundation upon which the lesson will be built. Plan my timeline. The curriculum I wish to cover may be too much for the time frame. If this is the case, I simply break my lesson plan into sections. This allows me to speed up or slow down depending on the amount of time remaining. Learning is dynamic. As I engage with students, encourage them to question and share ideas during the course of the lesson but be mindful of the time and the lesson plan. The lesson plan is my guide to ensure the learning goals I've set for my students are met in the time allowed.
