I have over 17 years of teaching Business Studies across different curriculum including GCSE, A-levels, BTEC, IB and University level. I am chief examiner for OCR, Edexcel and examiner for IB curriculum.. I am also a curriculum writer for Edexcel and OCR boards respectively. One of the key elements to this success is my understanding of Pedagogy and Active Learning. I believe it to be the centre of any organisation, practioner and the student’s success. Below is my experience of each curriculum in Business GCSE & A-Levels Business - 17 years, I will help you get a depper understanding of each topic through current examples.  As a team leader examiner, I can help you develop skills to help you prepare for the exam and attain optimum marks.   IB - 10 years +.  I can help you develop an understanding of key concepts in all the 5 units respectively.  I am an examiner for IB for last 5 years so can help you develop strategies to maximise your grades.  Majority of my student achieve grade 6+ in their IA's.  In last 4 years all my EE essay students have attained grade B or above in Business.  Undergraduate & Masters - I have vast experience of teaching university students.  I can help develop your concepts and understanding further as well as help you in your assignments.  

Approach:

My teaching facilitates and encourages a learning experience, which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their optimum potential. Planning effective lessons and preparing resources that have clear teaching aims and positive learning outcomes for my students. I prepare my students to be exam ready and my assessment training allows them to practice answering questions that can gain them optimum marks. Being experienced examiner helps me achieve this. I understand the notion that involving does not necessarily mean all learning occurs via action and busyness; involving means connecting the learners to the subject matter they learn about. Therefore I use live business case studies to help them develop their understanding. My session also involves kinaesthetic learning to help develop business ideas. My sense of humour and flexibility is a key asset to me as a tutor. I believe that to be an effective tutor one must also be an effective motivator. I have experience of mentoring students progression from further eduction to higher education.
