Experience:I have been teaching the IB programme in Doha for 10 years at a well established IB International School. My students have achieved excellent results in both Spanish B Diploma Programme (SL and HL) and Spanish Ab initio programme. I have also been an examiner for the IB and I am a qualified DELE examiner. I have taught all phases in language aquisition and I am very familiar with the IB concepts and teaching methods.
Approach:I plan my lessons depending on the student's needs. If the aim is an upcoming final DP examination, we would work on specific skills needed to overcome any particular difficulty. First I would assess the strength and weaknesses of the student and reinforce the gaps in their learning as required (could be the need of more practice in speaking, writing development and structure of formats, listening and responding, grammar accuracy, reading and understanding, etc). My lessons are fun and always linked to the culture in Spain and other Spanish speaking countries, so students are inspired and motivated from the beginning.
