Experience:I am a professional and enthusiastic native Italian teacher, with PGCE postgraduate certificate to teach Italian Language to foreigners (L2). I have a long-running experience in Italian tutoring, 12 years. In Doha I've a collaboration with Società Dante Alighieri - Italian Language Institute. My competence is multitasking because I've worked in different schools and situations (University, Language School, Cultural Center, Companies), in different countries (Italy, UK, Singapore, Australia and France).
Approach:My teaching approach is the CLT (Communicative Language Teaching), grown on communications skills. Grammar is not dealt with in a rigid manner, but as a useful reference system for comprehending the linguistic structures, which will then knowingly be used in a correct manner. I usually teach with authentic, real materials to make lessons more communicative and interactive, exploring and implementing fresh and interesting activities. I work with grammar books, Italian magazines, newspapers and many personal materials (audiovisual, laptop, worksheet) to get the student into Italian since the first lesson. In the first part of lesson, students concentrate on learning and applying linguistic structures and functions in Italian, whereas in the second part they focus on conversation and aspects of Italian culture.
