Experience:

I have more than a year of experience in teaching students at the primary level then I decided to apply in a public school in our place in the Philippines as a secondary English teacher for almost six years. I am currently working as a class teacher in Doha Qatar teaching primary level students. I have been tutoring students of all ages in the elementary level and academic capacities in Math, English, and Science over the past 6 years with great success.

Approach:

I always value the 'one-to-one relationship' between the student and tutor. To start off, I want to assess the student's strengths and weaknesses first before anything else. I believe this is a very important step so I know what to focus on and what strategies and worksheets I need to prepare in order to address those weaknesses and to hone those strengths. I want my student to feel comfortable around me and is encouraged to contribute, not just to be lectured to. I always make sure that I am giving my regular supportive, constructive feedback and make sure to both agree upon realistic and achievable tasks.
