Experience:I have tutored over 100+ students individually, and I am experienced in the AQA, Edexcel, Cambrige and iGCSE National Curriculum for KS3,and KS4 sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and KS5 Biology. I have 6-years teaching experience and I have taught in a range of schools in UK and Qatar, and have gained experience in teaching a wide range of nationalities and abilities from UK, and abroad. I am an enthusiastic tutor and will prioritise the needs of the student. When I tutor, I focus on independent learning with a friendly but focused input from the tutor. I also offer evidenced-based Endurance, Strength and Weight Loss training programmes. The reason I like to tutor is because you can 'move further' with each student in each session than in a normal lesson.
Approach:My approach is to review the content from the specification and provide example examination questions under a 'teach task prove' format. Once the student is comfortable with the content covered will I move on. While exam questions are useful, I try to ensure the student has a solid knowledge of the content rather than rote learning answers to exam questions. I will use different questioning strategies to assist the student with their learning, and for exam revision, provide question papers and markschemes to help refine knowledge.
