Qualification:

Grade 5-9 (English, Math and Science), Grade 10-12 (GCSE/AS Chemistry)

Experience:

I started teaching as a grade 4 teacher and in 10 years, I taught grades 4 to 6 all subjects (English, Maths, Science and humanities subjects). I have worked with children who find it hard to read, using a range of 'letters and sounds' and 'Jolly Phonics'. After 10 years in primary education, I decided to teach science and have been teaching for the last 8 years. I am a Chemistry specialist and I am able to teach general Science, Chemistry IGCSE and AS Chemistry (Edexcel).

Approach:

I plan lessons and intervention with the student in mind, using a range of practical and written resources to get the best out of the time with the students. I will firstly assess where the student is academically, then their learning style, speak with parents regarding their concerns. This will help inform my planning and help me meet the students needs.
