Experience:

I have extensive experience teaching students from KS2 to undergraduate level. I teach IELTS on presessional English courses in British universities and am able to assist with advice on assignments and essays. I also have EAL experience. I teach all the Humanities subjects in secondary education - History, Geography, Citizenship, Social Studies, Politics and Sociology - and have some experience teaching Psychology and Law.

Approach:

I tailor my lessons to the needs of the students and, after carrying out an initial assessment and discussion with the student and their guardian if appropriate, we discuss together the way forward. I provide practical help with specific projects and assignments as well as teaching basic grammar and reading and writing skills. I vary the teaching with a range of materials which include videos and quizzes. I give honest assessments of the progress of the student.
