Experience:Professional English teacher with a Cambridge University Certificate (CELTA). I have the experience in teaching specialised courses like Preparation for the IELTS Test, Business and Conversational English, General English, English for Diplomacy. I have the experience of teaching in Qatar at the Language Center of Hamad bin Khalifa University and in the American Academy School - American Curriculum.
Approach:In planning my lessons, I always take into consideration my student's level, needs, goals and learning style, the duration of the class, and the desired materials, in case there are any. Normally I would prepare own materials and use various sources, to perfectly customise the learning to my Student's profile. I usually plan 6 weeks periods with one or more sessions per week, with clear objectives to be reached and checked. Each session would be so planned to help reach the final objective. With this objective reached, the Student goes further to another stage. The classes will offer practice for all skills - Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking - and systems - Vocabulary and Grammar. In case the student would like to focus on a specific skill, this one will stay at the center of the whole teaching. For instance, for a student willing to boost their conversational skills, Speaking would be the main focus, while Reading, Listening, Writing, Grammar and Vocabulary would only be used as support activities.
