Qualification:PhD in Biology (2015), MSc Freshwater and Coastal Sciences (UCL,2006), BSc Biology (UCL, 2004)
Experience:I graduated from UCL in the U.K. with a MSc in Freshwater and coastal sciences and a BSc in Biology. More recently, I obtained my PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences. I have a PGCE in Science from Kings' College London. I have 20 years teaching and tutoring experience. I teach both Edexcel and Cambridge boards for IGCSE and A Level Biology. I also teach IGCSE Chemistry and Physics, Coordinated and Combined Sciences. I have taught Environmental Management and Childcare and development.
Approach:I focus my tutoring on exam technique, making sure the student understands what the question is asking. Interpreting graphs and data, describing and comparing data sets. I place an emphasis on How Science Works and on scientific inquiry and investigative skills. I have an excellent track record of students and tutees passing with A and A* grades at IGCSE and AS and A Level.
