Experience:

I'm currently a teacher at Edison International School in Doha, Qatar. Prior to my employment in Doha, I was both a classroom teacher as well as a special education teacher for five years at one of the top schools in Washington D.C. USA (E.L. Haynes Public Charter School). I have taught levels year 1 to year 5, as well as all subjects. I have a strong passion for working with students in order to help them gain the necessary skills and habits to become independent and more confident learners

Approach:

I begin with diagnostics of your child to attain a baseline of their overall skill and ability level. I then create engaging lessons and deliver innovative instructional strategies to ensure your child not only learns but is challenged. I don't want your child to simply learn how to perform a task, but to gain a overall conceptual understanding of why they are performing a specific task, and to be able to explain their answers/work. I also make it my duty to keep in close contact with your child's teacher in order to build on strategies and concepts taught at school, and to reinforce any additional skills.
