Experience:

I have a thorough experience in teaching English in Primary & Secondary students (most specifically Qatari students)depending on their needs. When a student needs help in English beyond what they get in the classroom, I help my students gain a deeper understanding of the reading materials they're assigned in school and develop their writing skills.

Approach:

As an English tutor, I help my students who are struggling with writing, speaking and reading the English language. I am able to adapt the tutoring sessions to fit each student's particular needs. And I make sure to help the student understand English concepts and to build confidence in his reading and writing skills. I do not simply give the student the answers or do his work for him. The following are my strategies in developing a more competent and a trusting atmosphere towards my students: 1. Assessment I create a positive and encouraging attitude that makes the student feel confident and competent.Throughout the tutoring process, I may plan additional assessments to track process. 2.Writing and Grammar Depending on the student's needs, I prompt students to write compositions or essays -- or simply teaching the basics of sentence composition. Since the English language can be particularly difficult to master -- especially for students whose first language is not English. -- I spend a great deal of time teaching proper grammar. 3.Reading I often help students polish their reading skills. This can include helping students fully comprehend the content of written passages, or having students read aloud to help with oral communication skills. Sometimes, I may assign students reading homework to be reviewed during the next session. 4.Speaking One of my duties is to converse with the student, and to correct him when he makes grammatical or pronunciation mistakes.
