• Introduction to the course and programme of learning
• Tutor discussion of the elements of the HRM function and its contribution to organisational objectives
• Tutor discussion of current UK legislation affecting HRM
• Discussion of employee recruitment and selection
• Discussion of employee reward and motivation, including theories of motivation, job evaluation and reward systems and management
• Tutor discussion of the use different motivational and reward systems to increase organisational performance
• Discussion of employee appraisal, development and performance management systems
• Discussion of the management of employee termination and relevant legislation
• Review of the training
