Qatar Targeting good education and better living for the people

Qatar is constantly working towards the development of education and better living for the people. As per Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Qatar has been defending the region since ever, and continue believing in the possibility of rendering good education and better living conditions for the people of Qatar.

While speaking at the Davos Economic Forum’s session, he uttered that Qatar provides big importance to the young children who haven’t attended schools all through the region, and bestow them with equal opportunities to go back to the school via a range of programs inclusive of “Educate a Child” that presently provides education for approximately 7.6mn children in the poor countries.

It has been noted that few violent groups of extremists are developing in the areas of social disintegration, political unrest, economic problems, poverty, etc. Limiting coping with the extremist groups to the security aspects can trigger the waning of terrorism for a short time, and lead to the growth of a new group of extremists.

It has been pointed out by Sheikh Mohammed that the ISIS group was barely an evolution of Al-Qaeda in Iraq. It was added that ISIS was started in Iraq, and not Syria due to the political emptiness and the marginalization of specific groups. 

According to him, terrorism was considered from two prime points of view:

• Ideologies
• Absence of state

The extremists’ capability of using the ideologies for mobilizing the resources and enroll people was never known before. The extremist groups were not developed in the countries where all the citizens are considered equal. 

When young people are made hopeful, provided with education and jobs, they won’t be vulnerable to the extremism. 

According to the foreign minister, there is proof that the extremists are making use of the religion for achieving the political goals, bespeaking for learning from the past occasions. He also said that the region continued to suffer from giving direction to the international support on the grounds of ethnic backgrounds and for the divisions of certain groups. He put stress on the requirement to think extra creatively for addressing the social and economic factors, and to aid and abet the countries emanated from the principle of equal human rights.

It is needed to stop cooperation that is standing on the grounds of sectarianism and to generate capacity within the governments to make them able to fulfill their moral imperatives towards their people. The existence of division prevailing in the Middle East is being acknowledged. Also, the presence of differences and these differences are not going to be solved in the battlefields have been recognized. Sheikh Mohamed stated on the Gulf Crisis that there is hardly any compromise when it is the matter of sovereignty, and Qatar’s effort to resolve the cataclysm.

Many powers are trying continuously to achieve maximum influence for arriving at the negotiating table in a finer position claiming that it is the people who may pay the price.

Sheikh Mohamed indicated that there is a hope to bridge the gap between Egypt and Qatar. Even, it is believed that the differences that exist in Egypt are not insignificant. He also said that care is being taken regarding Egypt’s stability and those claiming that Qatar is attempting to play a role that is destabilizing in Egypt are making untrue allegations.

If seen from the perspective of Arab, the stability of Egypt is crucial to the region. If the economic point is taken into consideration, then investments are being made in Egypt and the priority should be to make sure that the investments are in the right environment.
