Cut down on distractions
We live in an interruption-based culture that can damage productivity. Most of the time, notifications from electronic devices only add to the distraction. Recognize these distractions first and then take measures to sort them out one-by-one.
Make a plan and start early
Most students plan to start early on their syllabus but they seldom take the opportunity to turn their plans into action. Hence, stress builds up right before the day of the examination.
So if you are thinking of starting early, START EARLY without further procrastination.
Have room for revision
So you have prepared yourself well and have finished a math topic in depth. Hold on a minute! Don’t just move on the next immediately. You need to reflect on the previous chapter and find out whether you are missing out on anything or not.
Stop reading math
Do remember that mathematics needs to be practiced in the old fashioned way to get the best results. You just CAN’T read mathematics and expect to score a 90.
You need to get a piece of paper, grab a pen and DO the sums on the paper. Remember there’s no shortcut to success especially when math is concerned.
Use flash cards for formulas
Mathematics consist of a host of formulas that need to be memorized by heart for an improved performance. All these formulas can create a lot of confusion in students. The “x,” the “y”, the integration symbol…Result - CONFUSION!
Flash cards can aid a lot in these situations. So consider using flashcards for formula memorization and derivations.
SO THAT'S IT THEN...
Hope you find these tips handy enough for your purpose.
